ACIM Lesson 133: I will not value what is valueless.

I will not value what is valueless.

Today the Course gives me a reality check:

You do not ask too much of life, but far too little. When you let your mind be drawn to bodily concerns, to things you buy, to eminence as valued by the world, you ask for sorrow, not for happiness…”

Once again I am reminded that to live in the illusion of the world is not a great idea. This world is incapable of giving me what I genuinely want: peace, love, compassion, gratitude and life everlasting.

Today, then, I am given two ‘tests’ by which to evaluate all the things I think I want:

  1. If the thing I’m choosing will not last for ever, it is valueless.
  2. Should I choose to take something from someone else, I will also have to go without. If I deny him I deny myself.

And to help make sure I am choosing the right thing for the right reasons, I will immediately start cleaning on any decision I am about to make with the key words of Ho’oponopono:

I love you. I’m sorry. Forgive me. Thank you.

I will not let the ego (data) deceive me today, because:

“I will not value what is valueless. I love you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you.”
