God did not create a meaningless world.

This is a tricky one. What this Lesson is trying to get me to understand is that my Ego – my data – has created a meaningless world.

ACIM tells me that “What God did not create does not exist”.

Everything that I think is real has been made up by myself and the collective consciousness on the planet.

Together we’ve done an excellent job of creating something that isn’t real!

Today, then, I am asked to identify some of the horrors of the world and then deny their reality.

For example:

God did not create the Ukraine War and so it is not real.

Wow. That’s a biggie. And I think many people would struggle with that – I know I am!

I’m sure it’s real enough to the people caught up in the middle of it, who have been displaced and/or have lost loved ones!

But according to ACIM, the war is a shared illusion. If God didn’t create it, it can only be in my mind and my mind is therefore very clearly far away from His.

Here, then, is an opportunity to clear more of the debris from my mind and endeavour to join my mind with God’s. If the war is in my mind – which it is because I’m aware of it – I can choose to take 100% responsibility and do something about it. If I am aware of the war it is because at some level, going back to the beginning of creation, I contributed to it even if outward appearances would suggest I am thousands of miles away and therefore completely ‘innocent’ and separate from it.

Ho’oponopono tells me that because I’m thinking about it, it’s up to me to start the cleaning and make right.

I can therefore say “God did not create the Ukraine War and so it is not real” and then bless it with the four phrases of Ho’oponopono:

I love you

I’m sorry

Please Forgive Me

Thank You

I might just repeat this statement a few times, a lot needs cleaning with this one.

I will remember that the fastest way to stop the war is for me to get to work and do the cleaning.
