ACIM Lesson 53: Review of Lessons 11-15

Review of Lessons 11-15

Idea 11: My meaningless thoughts are showing me a meaningless world.

It is my thoughts that create my world and if they are meaningless, based on past perceptions and guesses rather than complete truths, the world I see is meaningless too. Today I want to see the truth by thinking with God.

“I love you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you.”

Idea 12: I am upset because I see a meaningless world.

Because my thoughts are insane it is hardly surprising I am upset! How could I possibly be at peace? Thank God I was wrong in thinking I had it all figured out! Of the millions and millions of bits of information surrounding me every second I’m only consciously aware of about 40. I will put my faith in God who is consistently aware of the rest.

“I love you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you.”

Idea 13: A meaningless world engenders fear.

If I am choosing to go with insanity, how can I trust it? It’s no wonder it engenders fear. There is no safety in a world that is not real. I will tune into Divinity today and instead opt for reality.

“I love you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you.”

Idea 14: God did not create a meaningless world.

Everything real is in God’s mind, which I share with Him. I therefore have direct access to the truth and can set aside the meaningless, fear based world whenever I choose to do so. Today I will clean, clean, clean because I want to go home and get a glimpse of perfection.

“I love you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you.”

Idea 15: My thoughts are images I have made.

As within, so without. Whatever I see on the outside is merely a reflection of my thoughts on the inside. I can certainly look upon a world of pain and suffering if I give in to the data. But by cleaning I can allow my real thoughts – the thoughts I think with God – to clean away the grime and let Divine light and Inspiration to fill my vision.

“I love you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you.”
