Lesson 76: I am under no laws but God’s.

I am under no laws but God’s.

This Lesson reminds me that I have been looking for salvation in all the places it is not – the job, the relationships, the bank account, the wardrobe and a whole host of other things – that my data tells me is important. It is little wonder I never found it!

I do not want the fleeting sense of peace such things can provide. Buying a new coat can make me feel good for a day or two. But what I really want is the lasting peace that is Divine and eternal.

The Course puts this in perspective. It tells me, for example, that “You really think that you would starve unless you have stacks of green paper strips and piles of metal discs” – or a gold Amex card or a rich benefactor.

This is merely part of the illusion, the data! And it is the data, the memories replaying in my mind that are the only ‘threat’ to the body. Nothing can hurt it but my thinking. As ‘Ihaleakalā would say, thinking is hell!

Today I will find the light because there are no laws but God’s.

I will not be fooled today by the laws of the world – the economy, health, nutrition, friendships and even religion. Whenever I am tempted to put my trust in the transient and the illusory, I will clean, clean, clean!

I am indeed under no laws but God’s, laws that simply give without ceasing and never take.

That sounds good to me!

I will repeat today’s idea as often as I can remember and repeat after it the words of Ho’oponopono:

I love you. I’m sorry. Forgive me. Thank you.

Peace and prosperity are truly mine. And I wish you nothing but the peace for always, now and forever and evermore, the Peace of “I”.

“I am under no laws but God’s. I love you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you.”
