ACIM Lesson 96: Salvation comes from my one Self.

Salvation comes from my one Self.

Yesterday I was reminded of my oneness.

Today the Course points out I generally consider myself to be in a state of duality. I can see myself as ‘good’ and ‘bad’ and beat myself up over the ‘bad’ part… and on occasion take the high moral ground when I think I’m being ‘good’.

The data is everywhere tripping me up and causing chaos. I am split into two selves and ultimately I cannot serve two masters. I can either clean, or be lost in hell.

The Course tells me that “A mind and body cannot both exist.” Today I will err on the side of my mind. As my true Self is Spirit, I will allow it to use the mind to find its perfect Self expression, rather than identify with a body that can so easily be destroyed.

The mind is my connection to God, not the body. And it is up to my mind to choose to keep the connection open or closed. I can keep it open with the cleaning. Or I can close it by choosing instead to focus on the illusions of the world. I can so easily allow myself to fall into temptation!

After all, in an earlier Lesson I was told that God is in my mind. If that’s the case, that’s where I need to focus, not on the flimsy illusions of the body.

So today, I will set out to hear what my mind can do. As I say:

“Salvation comes from my one Self. Its Thoughts are mine to use”

… I will listen out for confirmation that my mind has finally found its function. And I can reinforce this function by repeating the key words of Ho’oponopono:

I love you. I’m sorry. Forgive me. Thank you.

In this way my mind can finally be at peace and this is what I choose today.“Salvation comes from my one Self. I love you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you.”
