ACIM Lesson 335: I choose to see my brother’s sinlessness.

I choose to see my brother’s sinlessness.

This is an interesting one.

When I look at the person next to me, or across the street, or on the other side of the world, am I seeing the real them, their true I-Dentity?

Probably not.

What I tend to see is what I want to see. I see that person through ‘shades’, the distorted image that the data portrays. It’s fine of course if he or she is doing something I agree with… but if not?

Well, judgement inevitably sets in!

As the Course says, ‘Forgiveness is a choice’.

No matter what that person is up to, ultimately, at their core, they are sinless. Like me, they are as God created them. Perfect. Sinless. Holy.

And it is only in choosing to forgive myself for my incorrect perceptions that I can begin to see the sinlessness not only in another but also in myself. We are all one after all! If one person is a ‘sinner’ in my eyes, we all are, me included!

Time to get straight to the cleaning as I repeat the key words of Ho’oponopono:

I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

It is in my making the choice to clean so I can see another’s sinlessness that I get to remember who they are, who I am and importantly, Who created us that way. This is the way to Divinity, the Zero state.

“I choose to see my brother’s sinlessness. I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.”
