ACIM Lesson 2

I have given everything I see in this room [on this street, from this window, in this place] all the meaning that it has for me.

This Lesson is a continuation from yesterday. But this time, I will endeavour to include things further away from me or behind me. I will cast the net as wide as I can.

I will exclude nothing. If my eyes alight upon it, it’s worthy of inclusion. I will neither include or exclude anything specifically. Anything and everything is up for cleaning, by virtue of its presence in my awareness.

I will remember that ‘I’ am not seeing the object. It’s the data in me that sees it and then replays the tape – the memory – of what this thing ‘means’ to me.

If I don’t like it I can clean on it. If I like it I can clean on it.

Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of this! Like me you will have data about tables, doors, pens, lamps, shadows, hands and whatever else going back through the millennia, past lives, the works. You can’t possibly even know where all this stuff came from… let alone what connections to it need to be cleaned!

And of course, like me, your family will have given you thoughts and ideas about what tables, doors, pens, lamps, shadows and hands mean. And they got their ideas from their data and their family’s data that in turn goes back to the beginning of time.

That’s a lot of baggage!

So, today, I will spend five minutes or so looking about me and as my eyes alight upon a table, door, pen, lamp, shadow, hand or whatever it may be, I will say to it:

I have given this table all the meaning it has for me

… and then silently repeat to it the key words of Ho’oponopono:

I love you

I’m sorry

Please Forgive Me

Thank You
