ACIM Lesson 47: God is the strength in which I trust.

God is the strength in which I trust.

Today’s Lesson reminds me that to trust in my own strength is probably not a good idea.

After all, how can I know what decisions are completely right for me or anyone else, or what would happen should a certain decision be taken? I can’t.

As I have reminded myself in many earlier Lessons, of the millions and millions of bits of information surrounding me every second I’m only consciously aware of about 40. My ego then puts its entire trust in the 40 and thinks it’s got the whole picture. Crazy!

Similarly, the Course advises me not to put my trust where it is unwarranted.

Yet again the Course and Ho’oponopono are in complete agreement!

Indeed, the Course tells me that:

“God is your safety in every circumstance. His Voice speaks for Him in all situations and in every aspect of all situations, telling you exactly what to do to call upon His strength and His protection. There are no exceptions because God has no exceptions.”

I love that. Calling upon God for His protection!

So today, I will not fool myself. I will go straight to the Source of strength, reviewing my mind for any troubling situations and telling myself that:

“God is the strength in which I trust.”

It is trusting in God that will give me the confidence to deal with any situation that appears before me. And to help me to better hear what He might tell me to do, I will also clean each situation that arises with the phrases of Ho’oponopono:

I love you. I’m sorry. Forgive me. Thank you.

The Lesson concludes by reminding me that deep within “There is a place in you where nothing is impossible.” This is where the strength of God resides. And it is this place I will attempt to reach today.

“God is the strength in which I trust. I love you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you.”
