ACIM Lesson 196: It can be but myself I crucify.

If I believe the illusions and the data I will be tempted to attack another in order to somehow save or protect myself. But, of course, in doing so I am in fact attacking myself.

In choosing to see the truth, I can remind myself that I am not an ego. I am Spirit.

Fear does not come from without. It is an inside job, my mind running unchecked and going insane.

It is my own self I fear. Not you or the world at large! It is only me that my mind can seek to crucify.

And as this truth crosses my mind, I will immediately repeat the key words of Ho’oponopono:

I love you. I’m sorry. Forgive me. Thank you.

For the ego does not exist. Only God – love – exists and therefore the ego, which can entertain thoughts of attack and defence and death and fear must be an illusion. It can’t be real.

I will not choose unloving thoughts today as I remind myself:

“It can be but myself I crucify. I love you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you”
