ACIM Lesson 314: I seek a future different from the past.

I seek a future different from the past.

The Course states that when the future is viewed aright it becomes an extension of the present.

And the past can touch it not. There are no idols or illusions or data to cast any shadows upon it.

The present is therefore free to extend eternally into joy. And what could upset me about that?

It is only the data that keeps the past alive and darkens the future with its ominous predictions.

Today I seek something different to that. Today I will clean in earnest with the key words of Ho’oponopono:

I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

… that I may use the present to free myself from all the craziness of the past. The future is now in God’s Hands – where it should be! – and past illusions and mistakes are left behind.

“I seek a future different from the past. I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.”
