ACIM Lesson 12

I am upset because I see a meaningless world.

I will quickly remind myself of Lesson 2 and apply the idea here. I see a meaningless world because I have given everything I see all the meaning that it has for me. This is why I am upset. I am not giving anything a chance because I am too quick to judge and label.

This world is effectively a blank slate. But I have labelled it and judged it and now think it’s dangerous, crazy, beautiful, cruel or hostile. None of these labels are ‘good’ or ‘bad’, they just are.

And after all, as ACIM points out, if the world is meaningless it can be neither good or bad. I can only label it and experience it based on my own thoughts about it.

As I look around me I will see what labels come up. The world doesn’t stand a chance against a mind that is out of control.

However, I can begin the journey back to sanity by including the words of Ho’oponopono as I look around me.

For example:

I think I see a dangerous world. I love you, I’m sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You.

I think I see an abundant world. I love you, I’m sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You.

I think I see vengeful world. I love you, I’m sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You.

The world as I see it is not the problem. It is the memories in me, the data through which I see the world, that is the problem.

Even a thought that the world is abundant holds within it the implication of a poverty-stricken world.

And likewise, a dangerous world provides the opportunity for a safe world. Today I will take 100% responsibility and clean my vision of the debris that clouds my mind.
