ACIM Lesson 65: My only function is the one God gave me.

My only function is the one God gave me.

This is quite an interesting Lesson in as much as:

  • I can reaffirm my commitment to salvation
  • I will remind myself have no other function

… and if this is so, I have to be clear that salvation cannot be my only function while I have any desire to cherish others.

Lead me not into temptation!

Don’t let me get caught up in the data, the memories replaying, that tell me other things are far more important.

Once again, I can use Ho’oponopono to keep me on track when situations attempt to nudge me off course:

I love you. I’m sorry. Forgive me. Thank you.

All I want is to be clear about my function and how best to achieve it.

Today I will search my mind and as thoughts that conflict with the idea come up, I will say to them:

“This thought reflects a goal that is preventing me from accepting my only function.”

… and then move onto the next. It is my aim to become what the Course describes as a ‘clean slate on which my true function can be written’…

… and what in Ho’oponopono is sometimes called the ‘whiteboard’ or ‘zero’.

It is when the whiteboard is clear, when I am at the zero state, that I can hear the voice of Divine Inspiration!

This is what I am after today.

I want to clean, clean, clean that slate!

“My only function is the one God gave me. I love you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you.”
