ACIM Lesson 66: My happiness and my function are one.

My happiness and my function are one.

Today’s Lesson assures me that my happiness and my function are completely the same thing even if the data tries and tries to convince me they are not.

The data is constantly trying to assert itself and tell me it is ‘right’, that my function here is purely what the data thinks it is and nothing else.

This is of course, completely wrong.

I am asked to consider the following:

“God gives me only happiness.

He has given my function to me.

Therefore my function must be happiness.”

Of course, the data will rile against this! What do you mean God gives me only happiness? What about all the deadlines and the stress and everything else? Have you seen the state of the world – and my life! – recently?

But what, apart from happiness, could an unconditionally loving God actually give me? Something She is not?

And as God does not occupy the same part of my mind as the ego – the data – the function He has given me must be true. Data equals illusion. God equals Truth.

The data can offer me nothing except an opportunity to clean.

So, as I ponder these statements, I will repeat the key words of Ho’oponopono:

I love you. I’m sorry. Forgive me. Thank you.

My single aim today is to be blissfully happy, to find my own Shangri-La. And this is what I wish for you.

“My happiness and my function are one. I love you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you.”
